During this time he was known around the office as the guy that had an idea for everyone. He would go with the salespeople and help them generate ideas (and revenue) for their clients. After doing this for others for quite some time, a new General Manager asked if Small might like to do sales as well. It was the perfect fit. He would do a morning show until 9:00am, then go and solve the world's problems for the rest of the day.

This combination worked well and Small tried on many other titles along the way, Promotions Director, Program Director, and eventually Sales Manager of a group of five radio stations. It was here that he hatched his GREATEST idea yet, The Great Spot Company. A company that would provide what Small felt was lacking at many radio stations across the country. PEOPLE! So many radio stations have been slimmed down to an almost unrecognizable version of their former glory. Small built a team of award winning writers and devoted and talented voice actors to provide GREAT RADIO ADS to radio stations all over the world. The key to their success is the fact that each unit is priced affordably. Small refers to the small jobs that his company works on as "mortar" that fills in the cracks between the big jobs or "bricks".
